He added, some of the Poultry Farmers are doing the business blindly, saying that there is need for them also to understand the importance of weighing their bird as well as, monitor body weight and deformity of their birds.
The Veterinarians suggested that Poultry Farmers in Nigeria should come together and lobby the National Assembly members to intervene in the industry by regulating it as the birds are dying because of diseases.

2023 Presidency: PDP Wishing Gov. Yahaya Bello Will Run on their Platform – Group
A political support group ‘Got Your Back Nigeria’ said Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi state has the support of even the opposition party to run for the presidency come 2023.
National coordinator of the group, Prof Chris Mustapha Nwaokobia Jnr, stated this in a press statement on Tuesday.
Prof. Nwaokobia Jnr was reacting to a recent debate on Channels TV’s ‘Politics Today’.
He said Segun Sowunmi, a former spokesperson of Atiku Abubakar Campaign Organisation in the 2019 presidential election and Chief Femi Fani-Kayode, both profound speakers had their turns as the anchor grilled them on the politics of 2023 and the chances of presidential aspirants seeking to emerge as candidates of the two leading political parties.
He said: “The names listed on the PDP side were Atiku Abubakar, Aminu Tambuwal, Bukola Saraki, Bala Mohammed, Peter Obi, Sam Ohuabunwa, Goodluck Jonathan and Pius Anyim. And on the APC side were names like Bola Tinubu, Prof Yemi Osinbajo, Governor Yahaya Bello, Rochas Okorocha, Rotimi Amaechi, Godswill Akpabio, Kayode Fayemi and Babatunde Fashola. And Kingsley Moghalu, Akinwunmi Adesina, Jack Rich Tein, Oby Ezekwesili, and Tunde Bakare were those mentioned outside of the two major parties.
Prof. Nwaokobia Jnr said the guest from the PDP, Segun Sowunmi, was seen clearly in admitting that besides his boss, Atiku Abubakar, Governor Yahaya Bello (GYB) was perhaps the most prepared to take Nigeria to the next level.
“He admitted that GYB is broad minded (can carry along Nigerians of different tendencies), sagacious (creative and has the capacity to generate the ideas needed to make Nigeria work), youthful (has age and fitness), is competent, and can unite Nigerians. He practically craved and called on GYB to move over to the PDP to make real his ambition. It was an endorsement beyond Partisanship, and a testimony of the competency and the capacity of the phenomenon called GYB
“GYB is a pan Nigerian political and social vehicle, GYB is young, fit, active and vivacious, GYB has the ideas and is 21st century compliant, GYB is passionate about the Nigeria of our dreams, GYB is an apostle of human capital development, and GYB in so many ways have proven that the call to berth a new Nigeria is his unalterable commitment and destiny.
“Finally on the program in reference, the Guests and the Anchor of that didactic show on politics (Politics Today), were unanimous in the chances of the name that stole the show. It was Governor Yahaya Bello (GYB) everywhere throughout the duration of the show. It was Atiku Abubakar a few times, it was Kayode Fayemi and Babatunde Fashola once or twice, and the name Bola Ahmed Tinubu BAT hardly featured in the 1hour long program because apparently his age, fitness, and perhaps ideas needed to weave a united and cosmopolitan Nigeria is suspect. Baba BAT is obviously old and tired, and should be asked by all men and women of goodwill to rest,” he claimed
RE- SOLDIERS, MINERS DIE OVER SEVENTY MILLION NAIRA GOLD NUGGETS IN KATSINA
The attention of the Nigerian Army has been drawn to an online publication by Daily Nigeria.com of 9th January 2022, alleging that 2 soldiers and 7 illegal miners were killed during a gun duel, arising from a disagreement over gold nuggets in Magama village in Jibia LGA of Katsina State.
According to the publication, the incident occurred when the soldiers turned down an initially agreed offer of 500,000 naira per pit from the miners, but afterwards, turned around to demand more money on discovering the large quantum of gold nuggets found by the illegal miners in one of the pits.
The Nigerian Army wishes to unequivocally state that this story is baseless, unfounded, untrue and a mere figment of the writer’s imagination, aimed at tarnishing the reputation of the Nigerian Army, as no Nigerian soldier was killed, nor involved in any skirmish with illegal miners in Magama village on 5 January 2022.
Contrary to the insinuations peddled by the online medium, Nigerian Army troops deployed in the North West are committed and engrossed in the fight against banditry and other criminalities bedeviling that region. They are not permitted to participate in any form of mining, whether legitimate or illegitimate.
Aside orchestrating disrepute, Fake News as this, have the potential to dampen the morale of the fighting troops, erode their fighting will and undermine the entire operations. This is certainly not what the troops require at this critical time.
The general public are therefore urged to disregard the fake news as it is concocted to denigrate Nigerian Army troops, who are working tirelessly to ensure sanity and peace return to the North west region. We assure the general public of the unrelenting commitment of our troops to decisively tackle the banditry menace in the North West.

It was gathered that the air raid was conducted between December 27 and 28 2021 and was very successful.

Alleged Abduction Of Commuters Along Maiduguri -Damaturu, False Alarm – Operation HADIN KAI
The attention of Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK) has been drawn to series of unsubstantiated reports making rounds today, 11 December 2021 on social media and some pages of newspapers on the purported abduction of Maiduguri bound commuters by members of the Islamic State of West Africa Province (ISWAP) along Mainok and Borgozo in Kaga Local Government Area of Borno State.
A statement signed by the Deputy Director Public Relations 7 Division Nigerian Army/Joint Task Force (North East)Operation HADIN KAI, Colonel Ado Isa, dated December 11, 2021, said that the alleged incident which is false, misleading with the sole intention to smear the glaring good efforts and achievements of OPHK was said to have occured on Saturday December 11, 2021.
“The fact is that members of the terrorists group emerged through the Dole/Bari villages on some vehicles with the intent to mount snap road blocks in order to cause havoc and apprehension in the hearts of villagers and commuters. Troops on mobile patrol within the general area foiled the attempt without any delay.
“There was no abduction of any commuter today. It was just the imagination of mischief makers who are not happy that peace is gradually returning to the North East,” it said.
Joint Task Force North East Operation HADIN KAI assured that it will continue to sustain the peace efforts by ensuring the Maiduguri – Damaturu Main Supply Route (MSR) is not only fortified to frustrate the evil intentions of the terrorists but the Theatre will continue to ensure all locations are adequately manned by highly trained troops ready to defeat any criminal act against the peace loving citizens.
Members of the general public were therefore, urged to disregard all forms of reports in the media regarding the recent abduction of commuters alleged to have occured along the MSR today.
“We crave for understanding and cooperation of every well meaning members of the public. We should all remain calm and verify issues with the military authority as unsuspected group of persons are planning to cause apprehension and anxiety especially as the yuletide season is already here,” it concluded.
Arewa Group Slams Journalists For Linking Abdulrahman Bello Dambazau To DSS Arrest
A group, Arewa Think Right Group has tasked journalists to cross check information, facts and clarify from reliable sources before going to press.
The charge was handed out by the National Coordinator of the group, Comrade Hamza Alkasim, in a statement he personally signed and made available to newsmen on Thursday December 9, 2021, in which they frowned at those responsible for reports, alleging that a former Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lieutenant General Abdulrahman Bello Dambazau (Rtd) was arrested by the Departmental of State Security Services (DSS)
“We were shocked and totally disappointed with media houses that reported the news as the former COAS, Lieutenant General Abdulrahman Bello Dambazau (Rtd) was arrested by the DSS.
This is a blatant lie. The former COAS was never invited nor arrested by the DSS.
“Without mincing words, we categorically state that although we heard another Dambazau was arrested, it was not the former COAS they declared.
They wondered why some media organisations published the story as such, adding that it is a clear case of mischief.
“Linking the former COAS, General Abdulrahman Bello Dambazau to DSS arrest was not fair, because he was never invited nor arrested. Instead, one Brigadier General Idris Bello Dambazau (Rtd) was arrested,” they stressed
The group said that the Former COAS was a man of proven integrity and respect who contributed and served his fatherland with passion and humility.
DESPERATE MOVES BY BOKO HARAM/ISWAP TERRORISTS IN THE NORTHEAST
There are strong indications that the operations of troops of the Nigerian military in the North East are gaining results in the annihilation of terrorists and their counterparts in their various hideouts.

Investigation by our reporter revealed that life has become so unbearable in the terrorists various camps as evident in their desperate efforts seeking for attention and to show their presence in some parts of the North East leading to the sadly act of indulging into attacking innocent civilians in Borno State especially in Damboa and environs on Friday, 19 November, 2021.
Following the activities of the terrorists, four innocent children and youths were injured namely; Bukar shugaban, Ahamed kallama, Alhaji fannami and Bukar kallama.
Some of the natives who sought for anonymity explained that the attack was due to the anxiety and apprehension that has engulfed the terrorists camps following the recent massive destruction they suffered in the hands of ground troops and Air Components of the Nigerian military thereby causing them to device other means of seeking attention.
The natives commended the activities of the troops of the Nigerian military and other security agencies for dislodging the terrorists from their hideouts in order to ensure sanity in the region.
The sources called on Nigerians to cooperate with the security agencies towards ensuring absolute peace in the country by reporting suspected elements in the society to the security agencies for prompt action in order to ensure total peace and harmonious coexistence in the north east and the country at large.
